itSMF convention in Berlin

On 4th and 5th of December I was in Berlin visiting the conference of the itSMF in Berlin. The motto was “IT changes – change IT”, which was only partially present in the presentations. My personal focus was on industrialization of IT and on IT governance. Both were available as streams and both were a little disappointing.

I did enjoy the keynote presented by Prof. Dr. Krcmar from the Munich university (TU München), the ever entertaining presentation by Markus Zürcher from AXA Technology about TCO (Total Common Objectives) and KPI (Key Performing Individuals) and I did meet a few interesting people and some of those were even potential customers. Still these type of conventions do suffer from a high “rubbish” – “useful” rate.
